I am fairly new to the tiny house community but the idea of intentional living has really changed how I look at my space. I have spent my life in busy cities and small apartments, so a small footprint feels natural to me, but I am now looking at a tiny home as a way to keep my private life truly private. My goal is to use my home only for the essentials like sleeping, cooking, and quiet relaxation with my wife rather than letting it become the default hangout spot for friends. By choosing a space that is just enough for us, it forces us to head back out into the city for coffee, social drinks, and larger gatherings which keeps us more connected to our local community. I love the concept of a home that provides peace and intimacy without trying to be a substitute for all the amenities our neighborhood already offers. Anyone else going this route?
