Turning my old trampoline into a backyard clubhouse

I've finally decided to build a proper clubhouse in the yard and I'm starting with the old trampoline frame. The round frame is huge, like about 13 ft 8 in across, so the finished building will be a cool octagon with 8 flat walls. I'm reusing the eight net poles to lift the ring up high. The design already gives me built-in spots to hang hammocks which is awesome. I have a rough plan for the walls using a rain screen concept and the layering them from the inside out. So, first the steel frame, then chicken wire, then a plastic tarp, then wood supports, and finally the exterior pallet board siding. I'll finish the inside walls with stucco or maybe adobe. What do you think? I'm wondering if that inner plastic tarp layer is a good idea or if I should use something else. Also, I haven't added any insulation to the wall plan yet, so what's the best way to do that simply? I fyou have other ideas or have done this before please help! Thanks for reading.

The best thing you can do is a house wrap or a breathable membrane that still blocks water but lets moisture escape.

You can slide rigid foam between the wood supports or pack in straw or old denim if you want a natural vibe. It’s a cheap and simple way to add insulation.

@sharp 3y3$ is right! Just skip the plastic tarp it can also cause the stucco or adobe to break down later.

The rest of your plan should work fine as long as the walls can dry out and you avoid saeling them so tightly that moisture gets trapped.

look at strawclay or light clay straw. you’re already doing stucco/adobe on the inside, so you can pack a mixture of straw and clay slip between the chicken wire and your pallet siding.
it’s dirt cheap, fits into any shape, and has great thermal mass for those SEPA winters
if you want something cleaner, rigid foam boards tucked behind the pallets are the quickest bolt on fix
