I wasn't sure where to post this, but since I'm building with vertical studs rather than a standard trailer shell, the tiny house section felt like the perfect fit
after camping with a buddy and seeing how much room he had in his cargo trailer, I got a serious case of cube envy
I'm moving on from my old Chubby build to something I can actually walk into. It's wild that this new frame is the same length as my old one but feels ten times bigger.
I’ve built over 100 mini barns in my time, so the construction part is familiar territory, though I did have to add some serious let in wind bracing to handle 65 mph highway speeds.
I spent the weekend with my saws all and a flatbed, and by Sunday evening, the skeleton was up!
The plan is to scale down a 20x40 barn to 1/4 size, complete with faux sliding doors and maybe a feed box over the wheels to hide the AC unit. I'm loading it with triple layer foam insulation and even a Lexan see through roof section (the wife's executive decision!).
