Loft bedroom or first floor?

If I were much younger, I would consider the loft bedroom, but my knees would not approve of it. I would use a daybed or something similar for a first-floor bed. Or a good sofa, and in some cases, people start using a recliner as a bed. What would be your choice?

I think the loft bedrooms may be good for 6 to 14-year-olds or maybe young adults. Those who are very flexible. I could see having a single bed-sized sofa or having a day bed, if there was no bedroom space on the ground floor.

I was honestly considering a loft until my sister reminded me about my old knee injury and realized how impractical that would be for my case.
I ended up getting a sofa bed and it's been working for me so far!

So how did it go... loft bedroom or first floor?
