Why I moved my bed to the ground floor

I spent about three years climbing a ladder to my loft every night and I finally had enough of it. It was fine when I was younger but hitting my head on the ceiling and struggling to change the sheets got old fast. So I redesigned my layout to put a daybed on the main floor and used the old loft for storage instead. My knees feel better now and the house actually feels bigger with the extra vertical space. How about you prefer the classic loft sleeping area or have you switched to a main floor bed for convenience?

Finally made the switch last month and I can actually walk in the morning without my ankles clicking. Realized I was avoiding drinking water at night just so I wouldn't have to use the ladder in the dark. My bed is now a daybed near the window, I feel more connected to the outside and I don't feel like I’m sleeping in a crawl space.

Anyone else noticed that their loft ended up just being a giant dust magnet once they moved downstairs?
