Thoughts on Tiny House Nation builds and custom storage

I have been watching a lot of Tiny House Nation lately and I am fascinated by how they create custom furniture for very specific needs. They do things like hiding a dog kennel inside a kitchen island or building storage into every small corner. I want to know if anyone here has actually been on the show or if you live in a house with those kinds of specialized features. These ideas look great on screen but I am curious if they stay practical after you move in. Some of the builds seem very clever for maximizing space in a tiny home. But I would like to hear from real owners about which custom designs actually work and which ones just get in the way.

The hidden kennels and fold out storage work welll if you use them a lot. But some features start to feel annoying later because they take extra steps too reach or keep clean.

I agree with @trurorow the designs that work best are the simple ones like deep drawers, built in benches with storage and open shelves that are easy tto reach. The more complicated pieces with moving parts are usually the ones people stop using later.
