I bought a tiny house in VA a few years ago. it sat uncovered for 2 years. Yeah, I knew it was always wet, but just didn't know it was sitting on top of water.
I hired a few workers and stripped it to the metal. now I'm wrestling with surface rust (thinking CLR + antirust paint?) and a massive insulation rebuild the new plan is to do aluminum sheeting, 1” rigid foam, and 6” wool batts in the floor to keep it toasty but breathable dying to switch to a passive ridge vent system to keep the air moving, so this never happens again I doubt that this ever happened to other houses, but, anyone else ever had to drain their house?
