We've all likely seen those magazines on the News Stands over the years with titles like "50 Dream Homes" or "50 Beautiful Homes". They're known as "Style Books" and usually contain a collection of Modern, Western, Ranch, Cottage, Farm House, Craftsman, Gothic, Italianate, Victorian and many more styles of houses.

My reason for starting this thread is to consider translating those styles above into the Tiny Home momentum. Most of the Tiny Homes I'm seeing now would fall under the category of "Craftsman" (or owner built) homes. Please everyone, post photos of Tiny Homes you see that are with some style. (more than just tiny boxes)

Please post anything you see that impresses you here.

I saw this and thought I'd post it as it has ample outdoor space and landscaping. I would consider it a landscaped Craftsman style home. 20X20 in size. This Youtube video shows it:

Here is a photo of a 1300 sq ft Tiny Home that I think may fit the definition of an Italianate Home. Tower, columns, spiral staircase, and observation deck. I could be happy living in it.

This Tiny Home is a Victorian "Ginger Bread" style. As you can see it is built on a double axle trailer. I'm sure it wouldn't be inexpensive to build. Could you see yourself living in it ? Brass bed in the bedroom ?

I understand for a lot of younger viewers building a Tiny Home that they can just have shelter in may be all they can afford now. Still it is important to have some dreams of what you may some day hope to have. As I learned in "Design", "If you can dream it you can do it". But without the dream what can you do ?

Sometimes a person wants a whimsical place to live built of items familiar to him or her. Something unique and "cool" just in it's visual appeal. This one is put together from materials found in the heart land on production farms. Often items discarded or items sold as surplus/salvage can be put together with creativity to produce a one of a kind place just for the joy of owning such a dwelling. This is a 1000 sq ft would appeal to those with a sense of humor.

What do you think.

Did you ever hear of such a thing as a "Shotgun House" ? The idea is you could stand at the front door and shoot a shotgun at the open back door and not hit anything as the shot traveled from one end of the house to the other. These were very common after WW1 when returning soldiers built them or had them built as starter homes. They are kind of like a house trailer with a hall way down one side and the rooms accessible from the hall way. They were a kind of Tiny Home in their day but the idea is being reintroduced into the Tiny Homes of today.

Elvis Presley was born and lived in one of these in his youth.
