This site shows (graphics) 10 ways to lay out a living room area. You can consider this and adapt it to your Tiny Home. It's sourced from Pocket/Stories to Fuel Your Mind.

10 Ways to Lay Out a Living Room

#4 Minimal & Comfortable appeals to me, as does #6 Work & Live Space. Then I'm looking at living single with a pet dog or cat at the most.

I used to have a studio apartment which had a couch that was a hide a bed. But the couch was what was called a Love Seat. Like, two people could set in it comfortably and when converted to a bed it would have only been a full size bed. It was just right for that tiny apartment. So I would consider one again.

A main component of a small living room is a Couch or Sofa. Some of these that may be considered for a small space or Tiny Home may convert into a small bed. But multi function pieces, although minimalist and efficient, tend to be like Swiss Army Knives. You can only have it as a bed or as a sofa but not both. So if you are sleeping and anyone would drop by unexpected to see your Tiny Home you may wish they had had sense enough to call first. (but if they don't understand some of the dynamics of Tiny Home living ????)

One of these sofa's may be 35 inches tall, 34 inches deep, and 48 to 60 inches wide. 48 inches being a twin size bed when folded out and 60 inches being what's known as a 3/4 size bed. The beds offered extend out to 72 inches.

A good night's restful sleep is essential for maintaining physical and mental well-being, impacting various bodily functions and overall health. It plays a vital role in brain function, mood regulation, immune system strength, and the repair of cells and tissues. Chronic sleep deprivation can lead to increased risks of serious health problems like heart disease, diabetes, and obesity

Another alternative to a sofa bed is the Futon system. The frame folds to make a sofa and the mattress padding folds similar. Most of those I've known who enjoy these are young women who are light weight people. A heavier person may want a more supportive bed.

This piece of furnishing will likely be one of the most important selections for the Tiny Home. This owes to the importance of sleep and the limitations of available space.

One import consideration for a Tiny Home owner may be in having the illusion of space. In certain times of the year when you are shut in, it may be seen as a luxury in a Tiny Home setting. I'm familiar with living in a studio apartment in the winter months back in school days. That was when I learned about the minimalist life style and keeping my living area as uncluttered as possible. Only mentioning this as we will soon be into the fall season and living indoors more than the outdoors.

@eDJ_ you know, a lot of people are skipping the old hide a beds and going for a convertible sofa instead.
They're usually just one solid piece of foam that folds out, so there's no bulky metal frame inside. They're lighter, can be more comfortable, and are perfect for a single person and a pet. Plus, no worrying about a bulky mattress

Yes, I'd likely fall into that category if I get myself into something smaller. I'd like to have one home here in southern Ohio, and one in the Florida panhandle near Pensacola, Fl. (like that blue ISC home I've posted here) In Ohio I'm still now sure exactly what I'd like to build for the April thru October months that I'd be living in it. I plan to travel in my Van (no build poor man's RV) as I migrate back and forth between the two homes.

As I've learned since my school days.....mattresses are the biggest obstacle to living on one's own. Whether in an apartment, a house, or whatever if you drive by apartment buildings on a regular basis you'll see mattresses leaned up against dumpsters all the time. When those air beds with built in pumps that would inflate or deflate came out that was a real blessing from heaven for me. They could be deflated and folded up to be carried in a box or an old suitcase. I got pretty good at moving back then and the air mattress was a MAJOR factor in it.

My Own Story

I'd lean toward #6 Work & Live Space if you need a desk or hobby corner. You can still make it cozy with a loveseat that flips into a bed. Bonus: a smaller couch means more wall space to tuck in shelves for your pet's stuff or storage bins.
