You can build the most beautiful 200 sq ft home on wheels and then spend six months realizing where to actually put it is the hardest part of the whole project. Zoning laws vary wildly and some counties are totally open, most suburban areas are still effectively closed to full-time tiny living on wheels. RV parks work but have their own restrictions and private land is the cleanest solution if you can find and afford it. The people I know who made it work long-term either bought raw land, found a rural property to park on with permission or moved to a county that had caught up to the movement. So research this before you build, not after.

This is the part most tiny home plans completely gloss over and it’s usually the deciding factor, not the build itself.

I think first impressions matter, so I’ll try this differently — what’s something people usually misunderstand about you?
